Senior Full Stack Engineer

Being recognized as a Senior Engineer at Akeno signifies more than just a title or pay grade. As a Senior Full-Stack Engineer, you will take ownership of features end-to-end — from frontend implementation through backend databases — sometimes contributing to UX design when necessary.

You will join our Applications Team, comprised of knowledgeable colleagues who collaborate effectively, offering mutual support and openness. We have no separate architects or tech leads because we expect our senior engineers to craft solid initial designs independently and foster collaboration to refine them.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop cutting-edge software solutions that help customers save millions.

• Deliver comprehensive feature updates spanning front to backend systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs in ways that prevent recurrence.
• Implement monitoring and testing measures to proactively detect issues before impacting customers.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in ongoing product development with long-term perspectives.
• Strong programming capabilities in React, TypeScript, and Node.js or comparable technologies.
• Working knowledge of databases and GraphQL at intermediate level.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks such as Cypress and Jest.
• Capacity to lead projects or significant feature developments.
• Ability to engage in constructive technical discussions to achieve simple, elegant solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior exposure to Hasura or similar GraphQL middleware.
• Solid understanding of CSS concepts including the box model, flexbox, and styling techniques.
• Strong grounding in event sourcing for complex workflows.
• Experience with DevOps and cloud technologies to enhance team productivity.
• Background in integrating AI technologies, such as chatbots or recommendation systems.
