About the Role
Our client, a globally recognized logistics firm, is expanding and has introduced a new Senior Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst position. This role requires substantial experience, particularly a minimum of five years in FP&A encompassing end-to-end P&L responsibility. Expertise in advanced Excel functions, including Macros and VBA, is a critical requirement. The position focuses on pinpointing core business drivers to enhance decision-making and unlock opportunities for growth.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of the annual operating plan by performing in-depth financial analyses, consolidating inputs from various regions, and crafting materials at the executive level.
- Generate regular financial performance reports for leadership, emphasizing significant trends, risks, and opportunities to aid strategic decisions.
- Support comprehensive long-term financial planning and multi-year business forecasting.
- Drive improvements in planning and forecasting workflows to boost accuracy, promptness, and continual enhancement.
- Collaborate closely with cross-departmental teams to proactively identify financial risks and potential value creation avenues, reinforcing the finance function's strategic role.
- Participate in specialized projects and ad hoc initiatives aligned with finance and corporate strategies, including transaction analysis and strategic investments.
Candidate Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline.
- 5 to 7 years of pertinent experience, ideally within complex, multi-geographical, or operations-centric organizations.
- Expert-level skills in Excel, including Macros and VBA, as well as robust financial modeling capabilities for analyzing intricate datasets into practical business insights.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and other presentation software.
- A flexible, proactive, and pragmatic approach to work, coupled with a positive and solutions-focused attitude.
