Senior Finance Analyst

Job Overview

The Senior Finance Analyst will be responsible for the full cycle of budgeting, forecasting, management reporting, and cash flow analysis to support financial oversight and decision-making within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze complex financial datasets to evaluate historical performance and forecast future financial outcomes.
• Lead planning and budgeting efforts, preparing comprehensive financial reports to support forecasting and trend analysis.
• Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports including detailed variance analysis.
• Monitor and control internal cost budgets to ensure expenditures align with approved budgets.
• Critically assess forecast inputs from operations and provide clear explanations for any variances identified.
• Support the weekly preparation of cash flow forecasts and undertake variance analysis.
• Ensure that forecasts and budgets are accurately loaded and reconciled within the Oracle Planning Module.
• Manage finance team activities including task allocation, staff training, problem-solving, performance assessment, and motivation to drive productivity.
• Perform additional duties as required by the supervisor.

Candidate Requirements

• Postgraduate qualification in accounting, ideally a Chartered Accountant certification.
• Extensive experience with a minimum of five years in a similar finance analyst role within large organizations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly advanced skills in Excel.
• Strong understanding of how financial decisions impact business and ability to engage effectively with stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong presentation capabilities.
• Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities with a readiness to challenge assumptions and innovate.
