Senior Filling Operator

Role Overview

The Senior Filling Operator at Al Safi Danone, located in Al Kharj, is responsible for operating and supervising filling and packaging machines to meet production goals while upholding safety, quality, and food safety standards. This role specifically targets those with practical experience in dairy, food, or beverage manufacturing, especially in fresh and long-life products.

Main Responsibilities

• Operate filling and packaging machinery according to production guidelines and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Adjust machine settings to align with production needs.
• Track machine performance, output levels, and downtime periods.
• Verify accuracy of production dates, batch codes, and product information on packaging.
• Maintain comprehensive records for production, traceability, quality checks, and shift handovers.
• Ensure safe and effective operation of filling equipment to meet production targets.
• Detect and troubleshoot operational problems, performing routine machine adjustments as necessary.
• Collaborate with the Maintenance department to resolve technical issues and equipment failures.
• Reduce product wastage and minimize packaging material losses.
• Adhere strictly to safety protocols, food safety, GMP, hygiene, and quality standards.
• Carry out mandatory safety and quality inspections per SOPs.
• Report any safety, quality, or operational concerns to the Filling Team Leader promptly.
• Conduct machine cleaning and sanitation procedures as per established criteria.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in equipment zones, enforcing 5S standards and overall housekeeping.
• Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives focused on operational excellence, productivity enhancement, machine efficiency, quality advancement, and waste reduction.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of a High School diploma with relevant experience, or a Technical Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or a related discipline.
• At least two years of practical experience in filling operations within the Dairy, Food, Beverage, or FMCG sectors.
• Proven skills in operating automated filling and packaging machinery.
• Familiarity with equipment brands such as Tetra Pak, SERAC, ARMI, Krones, or analogous filling systems is advantageous.
• Experience working with Fresh Dairy, UHT, or Long-Life products is preferable.
• Sound knowledge of production processes, safety protocols, quality control, and food safety standards.
• Basic troubleshooting and machine handling competencies.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Fundamental computer literacy.
