Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Estimator to join our expanding and experienced team. The ideal candidate will be positive, dynamic, versatile, well-organized, autonomous, and comfortable working collaboratively. You will be expected to demonstrate initiative, effectively prioritize tasks, manage emergencies, and consistently meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and prepare estimation documents by gathering proposals, specifications, plans, and tender paperwork.
- Evaluate and recommend possible alternatives to project drawings.
- Review both general and specific project conditions carefully.
- Analyze labor and material needs to accurately calculate costs.
- Solicit bids from suppliers and conduct extensive quantity and material surveys.
- Compile and formalize bids for submission.
- Present estimation outcomes to the Chief Estimator or Project Manager.
- Participate in site visits as necessary.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Over five years of experience in similar estimating roles.
- Familiarity with Design-build project delivery systems.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
- Strong oral and written communication skills in both French and English.
