Senior Estimator

Overview

A dynamic Dublin-based building developer is seeking an experienced Senior Estimator to take charge of their estimating activities. With a workforce of 40 employees and an expanding project pipeline, this role reports directly to the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop cost estimates and secure contracts for general contracting projects valued between 2 million and 25 million, including schools, industrial facilities, warehouses, and food processing plants.
• Provide pricing for proprietary residential developments, ranging from apartment complexes to bespoke luxury homes.
• Establish and implement estimating procedures, tools, and standards from the outset.
• Collaborate closely with a growing commercial team to support company objectives.

Candidate Profile

• Demonstrable success in pricing competitive tenders within either a main contractor or developer environment.
• Proficient experience in one or more sectors: residential, education, industrial, or commercial construction.
• Ability to develop accurate pricing based on fundamental principles and effectively handle subcontractor inquiries and evaluations.
• Strong motivation to win contracts, as performance is directly measured by projects secured.

Compensation and Benefits

• Salary range: 100,000 to 130,000 dependent on experience.
