Senior Engineering Systems Engineer

About the Role

Wood is actively recruiting a Senior Engineering Systems Engineer to join its expanding projects team in Doha, Qatar. This position supports work across FEED, Pre-FEED, Brownfield, and Greenfield projects, ensuring execution aligns with the project schedule, cost, safety, and quality objectives as outlined in Wood and project-specific procedures. This is a long-term onsite role focusing on creating business growth through technological applications and driving Wood’s digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead integration between Wood’s core digital enablers and business needs to promote growth and internal efficiencies.
• Act as a trusted technology advisor, providing digital expertise across the organization aligned with business objectives.
• Serve as the digital liaison for IDT services, facilitating efficient delivery of digital solutions.
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers and IDT Business Partners to maintain alignment on digital strategies and initiatives.
• Develop and maintain a network across functions and external partners to identify and implement digital opportunities effectively.
• Translate business requirements into actionable digital projects that yield strategic benefits to Wood and its clients.
• Continuously update knowledge on emerging technologies and assess their potential application in Wood’s operations.
• Contribute to the technology roadmap for Wood’s flagship solutions and associated digital product lines.

Experience and Qualifications

• Proven industry reputation with approximately 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
• Strategic thinker with a practical and positive approach.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• In-depth knowledge of business processes, data, and IT systems used within industrial and corporate settings.
• Broad understanding of technology and business trends, especially regarding data-driven decision-making and value realization.
• Experienced in contributing to engineering dialogues, technology strategies, and client-focused product development.
• Proficient in influencing and building relationships within cross-functional teams, including clients and partners.

Work Environment

This role primarily focuses on the Oil and Gas sectors, both Onshore and Offshore, representing a critical position in Wood’s continued digital evolution.
