Job description

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Engineering Manager (Technical) to lead the engineering design and technical office operations for large-scale Infrastructure and Earthworks projects. The selected candidate will play a critical role in linking design concepts with engineering standards and on-site execution, ensuring all technical deliverables, including submittals and value engineering, meet quality and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the technical office team, including design reviews, preparation of shop drawings, and maintenance of technical documentation throughout all project stages.
  • Conduct engineering assessments, geotechnical evaluations, and perform volume calculations related to extensive earthworks and infrastructure tasks.
  • Tackle complex on-site technical issues by providing innovative engineering solutions for ground conditions, excavation stability, and filling procedures.
  • Manage coordination among client technical representatives, engineering consultants, subcontractors, and internal execution teams to ensure smooth interface and project alignment.
  • Oversee approval procedures for materials, method statement preparations, value engineering strategies, and carry out technical risk assessments.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering; advanced qualifications such as a Master’s Degree or professional certification (PE/Chartered status) are advantageous.
  • Have a minimum of 10 to 12 years of advancing leadership roles within engineering, especially focused on significant civil infrastructure and heavy earthworks projects.
  • Demonstrate deep technical knowledge in geotechnical engineering, heavy earthwork techniques, design reviews, and shop drawing development.
  • Skilled in utilizing engineering software, managing technical office workflows, and interpreting contractual technical specifications.
