Job description
Job Overview
This role is based in Hyderabad and requires working onsite for four days a week. The position demands a skilled Senior Engineer with strong expertise in Python and backend development, especially focusing on microservices architecture and REST API design.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Developing, designing, and securing RESTful APIs with proficiency in Python.
- Working extensively with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Oracle.
- Implementing backend services using Python API frameworks like FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
- Building and supporting microservices-based architectures to ensure scalable and maintainable systems.
- Containerizing applications with Docker and managing containerized environments.
- Applying object-oriented design principles, employing design patterns, maintaining coding standards, and adhering to software engineering best practices.
- Preparing comprehensive High-Level and Low-Level Design documents for scalable software applications.
- Designing systems to optimize for scalability, reliability, performance, and resiliency.
- Utilizing caching mechanisms, particularly Redis, to enhance application performance.
- Conducting robust debugging, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and peer code reviews.
- Using Git version control, participating in CI/CD pipelines, implementing automated testing, and managing software releases.
Additional Desirable Skills
- Experience with ETL frameworks and handling large-scale data processing workflows.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS SQS, or SNS.
- Practical knowledge of Kubernetes for container orchestration.
- Exposure to the AWS cloud environment.
- Skills in workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow.
- Understanding of application monitoring, logging, and observability tools.
- Experience working with distributed systems and asynchronous processing models.
Workplace Details
This position requires physical presence at the Hyderabad office four days each week.
