Job description
Role Overview
We are recruiting on behalf of a prominent client for the position of Senior Engineer specializing in Governance Standards. This is a contract role initially set for one year with the possibility of extension, based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates. Candidates should be prepared to join immediately or within a notice period ranging from 15 to 30 days.
Key Responsibilities and Experience Requirements
- Minimum 6 to 8 years of professional experience in Workplace Technology, End-User Computing, or IT Infrastructure, including at least 3 years dedicated to governance, standards, or technical architecture.
- Hands-on expertise with endpoint platforms such as Windows 10/11, macOS, and mobile operating systems.
- Experience managing collaboration and productivity suites including Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, and various email platforms.
- Proficiency with endpoint management solutions like Intune, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM), JAMF, or similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of workplace and end-user technology architectures along with standards and standardization practices.
- Defining and enforcing technical standards, policies, and configuration baselines.
- Understanding of endpoint security mechanisms, including antivirus, endpoint detection and response, encryption, and patch management.
- Familiarity with identity and access management frameworks such as Azure Active Directory, Single Sign-On (SSO), and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) relating to end-user technologies.
- Exposure to ITIL processes covering Change, Incident, Problem, and Configuration Management management disciplines.
- Ability to map security and compliance mandates onto workplace technology environments effectively.
- Exceptional documentation and communication capabilities to articulate clear standards, guidelines, and technical documentation.
- Methodical and detail-focused working style ensuring alignment with compliance and consistency requirements.
- Professional certifications in relevant areas including Microsoft 365, Endpoint Management, ITIL Foundation, CISSP, or equivalent security qualifications.
- Experience operating within large-scale enterprise settings with intricate workplace technology infrastructures.
Additional Information
This role is offered under a contract arrangement through an outsourcing model with our client in Sharjah. Immediate availability or a short notice period of up to one month is preferred.
