Senior Engineer - AI Workplace (M365) & Microsoft Purview

Role Overview

BearingPoint seeks a seasoned Senior Engineer specializing in AI Workplace technologies within Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Purview to guide clients in secure and efficient AI adoption throughout the Microsoft ecosystem. This consulting role involves close interaction with clients to lead deployments and governance of Microsoft Purview and the Microsoft 365 Copilot environment, focusing on modern workplace transformation and data protection.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage client engagements on Microsoft Purview and Microsoft 365 Copilot readiness, governance frameworks, and solution implementation.
• Architect and apply features such as sensitivity labels, data loss prevention (DLP), retention policies, eDiscovery, audit functions, and various Purview compliance controls.
• Facilitate secure AI workplace adoption by identifying data oversharing vulnerabilities, enhancing data governance standards, and establishing practical guardrails specifically for Copilot usage.
• Conduct interactive workshops with client stakeholders, translating technical complexities into business-focused outcomes and deliverables.
• Collaborate across the broader Microsoft technology stack including Entra ID, Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, Intune, and supplementary security tools.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Demonstrated practical experience in Microsoft Purview encompassing information protection, DLP, records management, retention, audit, and compliance capabilities.
• Proven involvement in Microsoft 365 Copilot governance, implementation, or secure adoption programs.
• Strong consulting acumen with client-facing capabilities such as workshop facilitation, stakeholder collaboration, and technical solution design.
• Comprehensive knowledge of core Microsoft 365 services and related security technologies, including Entra ID, Intune, Microsoft Defender, and SharePoint.
• Excellent communication aptitude with the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively to non-technical business audiences.

Preferred Attributes

• Possession of relevant Microsoft certifications like SC-400, SC-100, SC-200, SC-300, or MS-102 is advantageous.
• Prior experience within consulting or professional services environments.
• Familiarity with PowerShell scripting, Microsoft Power Platform, or Copilot Studio governance administration.
