About the Role

At Snowflake, we are revolutionizing the future of work with AI-native thinking embedded at every level. Embracing a culture of curiosity and experimentation, our teams craft innovative solutions by integrating AI deeply into problem-solving approaches. This role as Senior Engagement Manager with Frontier Engineering is key to driving guaranteed customer success by leading data and AI transformations on the Snowflake platform.

As the inaugural Engagement Manager based in New Zealand, you will spearhead client relationships encompassing both Data Transformation and Agentic Transformation initiatives. Collaborating closely with New Zealand account teams alongside Australian Service and Sales teams, you will be the main driver of engagement success, overseeing everything from initial conversations through solution scoping, contracting, delivery, and growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead New Zealand market engagements, serving as the primary contact for Account Executives and qualifying new opportunities aligned to business challenges.
  • Conduct discovery and customer workshops to prioritize use cases, define targeted outcomes, and build strong business cases rooted in measurable value like cost savings and revenue growth.
  • Collaborate on deal shaping with Services and Sales Solution Managers, ensuring commercial proposals and Statements of Work are aligned, scoped realistically, and financially sound.
  • Maintain accurate booking forecasts and develop services roadmaps to identify new opportunities within existing accounts for Snowflake solutions.
  • Coordinate with partner ecosystems (SIs, GSIs, ISVs) to extend co-delivery and sales capabilities adhering to Frontier Engineering standards.
  • Own the seamless transition from sales to delivery, overseeing engagement kickoffs and managing project execution through timelines, scope control, and quality delivery.
  • Handle financial responsibilities including revenue forecasting, budget monitoring, cost management, and safeguarding profit margins.
  • Act as escalation lead, providing clear leadership during high-pressure incidents and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Lead value realization efforts with retropsective reviews, knowledge transfers, and securing customer endorsements for future engagements.
  • Engage executives to develop strategic services roadmaps and maintain transparent communication on risks and project wins.
  • Provide frontline feedback from delivery teams to Snowflake product and engineering for continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to practice development by refining scoping, estimation methodologies, and leveraging AI-driven tools for efficiency.
  • Ensure diligent maintenance of Salesforce data and financial records to support delivery resource management.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 8 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 6 years with a Master's degree or equivalent.
  • Over 10 years of combined sales and service delivery experience engaging with executives on complex technical projects, such as cloud data warehousing, platform modernization, and AI/ML adoption.
  • Proven success meeting quantitative goals including bookings, resource utilization, and delivery margins.
  • Strong capabilities in deal shaping, discovery, scope definition, and closing service deals collaboratively.
  • Expertise in project governance, risk management, change control, and project financials including EAC accuracy.
  • Excellent executive presence with ability to engage C-suite and technical teams effectively.
  • Deep understanding of data platform modernization and AI/ML or Generative AI implementation initiatives.
  • Experience working collaboratively with cross-location teams, thriving in a remote environment.
  • Ability to juggle diverse responsibilities from sales support to crisis management with autonomy and adaptability.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Established connections across New Zealand's enterprise, government, or systems integration partner networks.
  • Consulting experience with major firms or specialized boutique strategy consultancies.
  • Background in technical advisory roles such as solution architect or technical account manager.
  • Hands-on project experience with Snowflake AI Data Cloud or comparable cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience building and scaling service practices or teams in emerging markets.
