About the Role
Join Exyte as a Senior Electrical Engineer focusing on Electronic Security (ES) design for cutting-edge hyperscale data centre projects. Key Responsibilities
- Produce and review comprehensive in-house Electronic Security design packages during pre-construction phases.
- Assess external consultant ES design submissions, including schematics, drawings, and specifications, ensuring constructability and alignment with project scope.
- Manage ES design delivery from conceptual stages through to construction documentation and coordinate scope with external consultants.
- Support bid preparations and responses as well as Tender pack evaluations.
- Assist onsite construction teams by responding to design inquiries and resolving implementation challenges, ensuring construction matches approved designs.
- Confirm adherence to industry best practices, building codes, and client security standards within design packages.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (ICT, MEP, CSA) to guarantee integrated and compatible security system designs.
- Lead supplier and vendor engagements regarding product selection, pricing negotiation, and specification verifications.
- Ensure delivery of thorough project documentation through all phases, including Shop Drawings, Red Line, and As-Built Drawings.
- Conduct safety risk assessments for designs to pre-empt and mitigate high risk construction activities.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in designing Electronic Security systems for large-scale projects.
- Prior involvement with Data Centre projects valued at over €500 million.
- Preferred familiarity with ICT systems design.
- Proficient in Autodesk Construction Cloud or similar Construction Document Environment (CDE) software.
- Experienced with BIM software such as Revit and Navisworks for design coordination.
- Detail-oriented approach to documentation and design accuracy.
- Ability to handle pressure and juggle multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong communication skills, capable of engaging clients and stakeholders at various levels.
- Committed to safety, quality, teamwork, and clear communication throughout project life cycles.
