About the Role

As a Senior Electrical Engineer, you will lead design efforts on electrical engineering projects, from small to medium-sized design packages within larger, complex programs. You will ensure adherence to best practices while managing costs and deadlines. Establishing and maintaining strong client connections and contributing to the growth and strategic objectives of the Building Services team are essential functions.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead electrical design for single and multidiscipline projects across multiple sectors.
• Manage small to medium engineering design projects and assist larger complex projects to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
• Maintain consistent, transparent communication with clients, authorities, internal colleagues, and management.
• Implement best practice approaches to optimize client outcomes, focusing on efficiency and cost savings without sacrificing quality.
• Cultivate durable client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and understand evolving client requirements.
• Support strategic initiatives and contribute to the growth and success of the business unit.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7 to 10+ years experience working on Australian building services projects, preferably in a consulting role.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects concurrently across diverse scales and sectors.
• Strong skills in client relationship management, stakeholder engagement, and project leadership.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Australian Standards and Codes such as AS/NZS 3000, NCC, and applicable building services standards.
• Expertise in technical design, coordination, and problem-solving for electrical building services systems.
• Eligibility for or registration with the National Engineering Register (NER) or progressing toward Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) accreditation.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with clients, multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
