Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join our team and lead electrical design efforts on multiple significant projects based in Singapore. This role involves collaborating within a multidisciplinary environment, tackling complex engineering challenges, and delivering efficient electrical solutions.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Take the lead on electrical aspects of various projects and contribute actively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Analyze intricate engineering problems and devise effective solutions.
• Support the preparation of fee and capital budget proposals as needed.
• Compile and efficiently manage electrical design packages during bid, approval, and construction phases.
• Supervise and mentor junior electrical engineering staff when required.
• Review and verify the quality and accuracy of work produced by other electrical engineers through peer reviews.
• Maintain extensive and independent interaction with clients, vendors, and project field personnel.
• Participate and contribute in meetings with clients and internal teams.
• Lead and partake in project site visits to oversee, inspect, and approve electrical installations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 10 years' experience in engineering design within the electrical discipline.
• Proven advanced expertise across a broad range of electrical engineering design services, including MV and LV power distribution, generators, UPS, lighting and emergency lighting, vertical transportation, small power systems, voice/data networks, cable containment systems, fire alarm and security systems, lightning protection, earthing and bonding, hazardous area classification, and specialized control systems.
• Comprehensive knowledge and application of relevant electrical engineering codes, standards, and industry best practices.
• Commercially conscious with the capability to perform value engineering and implement innovative technologies to deliver cost-effective solutions.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; adept at preparing detailed specifications and contractual documentation.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality assurance, environmental stewardship, and ethical business practices.
