Senior Electrical Design Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to lead electrical design tasks in infrastructure, building, and transport projects, ensuring technical quality and compliance with regional and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead design efforts for electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm systems, earthing, and lightning protection.
• Create detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts utilizing tools like AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
• Perform electrical analyses including load, short-circuit, voltage drop calculations, and appropriate cable sizing.
• Ensure designs meet requirements set by DEWA, ADDC, UAE Fire Code, and other relevant authorities.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems smoothly.
• Oversee and mentor junior engineers to uphold delivery standards.
• Provide technical leadership to solve design issues leveraging industry best practices.
• Maintain and cultivate client relationships to encourage repeat business through exceptional service.
• May serve as Project Manager for smaller or routine assignments.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering is required.
• At least 8 years of experience in electrical design, ideally within the UAE.
• Expertise with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and related electrical design tools.
• Solid knowledge of UAE authority regulations and international electrical codes.
• Proven leadership skills with experience mentoring engineering teams.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent coordination, and effective communication skills.
