Senior Director

Role Overview

The Senior Director will spearhead comprehensive masterplanning efforts for large-scale, multi-venue mega events. This role involves transforming the client's strategic vision into detailed, actionable plans for each event cycle including venue layouts, infrastructure setup, resource coordination, and timeline management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the entire site masterplanning process for multi-venue mega events, from concept to execution planning.
• Manage a diverse planning team responsible for design, drafting, and food and beverage coordination, ensuring that project milestones are met and serving as the chief accountability contact for client deliverables.
• Actively engage in creating detailed masterplans, zoning strategies, dimensioned venue layouts, and visitor journey maps rather than delegating these tasks alone.
• Conduct thorough needs assessments, feasibility analyses, and validation studies; benchmark plans against global best practices for similar large-scale events.
• Collaborate closely with senior client leaders and integrate requirements from various stakeholders such as marketing, sponsorship, talent management, media, and operations to maintain a unified site plan approach.

Qualifications & Experience

• Senior Director level position requiring at least 12 years of direct, relevant experience in event planning and delivery.
• Proven track record with a minimum of two full delivery cycles of comparable mega-events, including multi-venue or major sporting events.
• Hands-on experience producing venue masterplans, zoning layouts, scaled dimensioned drawings, and comprehensive visitor journey designs.
• Demonstrated ability to integrate stakeholder needs across marketing, sponsorships, influencers, and players effectively.

Additional Information

• This is a long-term contract role anticipated to last between 14 to 17 months.
• Travel expenses including flights and accommodation will be covered.
• There may be opportunities to work remotely as part of this engagement.
