Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Overview

Alza Karriere is seeking an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong background in AWS cloud services. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of hands-on experience designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure and DevOps pipelines. This role requires expertise in cloud technologies, containerization, infrastructure as code, and monitoring tools within the AWS ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities and Skills

• Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins and Git to automate software delivery processes.
• Manage and operate AWS cloud services including EC2, Lambda, RDS, ECS/EKS, S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and VPC configurations.
• Implement containerization solutions with Docker and orchestrate containers using Kubernetes, ECS, or EKS.
• Develop and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
• Write and maintain scripts in Linux/Unix environments using Python, Shell, or Bash scripting.
• Utilize cloud-native monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, New Relic, or Splunk to support operational excellence.
• Apply AWS security best practices, managing access controls through IAM and security policies.
• Maintain knowledge of serverless architectures using AWS Lambda, API Gateway, and DynamoDB.
• Understand networking fundamentals, including VPC setup, subnets, security groups, and network ACLs within AWS infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years experience working with AWS cloud services and DevOps engineering principles.
• Preferred certifications include AWS Certified DevOps Engineer Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or AWS Certified Developer Associate.
• Familiarity with advanced DevOps tools and automation techniques using Jenkins, GitLab CI, and AWS CodePipeline.
