Senior DevOps Engineer

Role Overview

As a Senior DevOps Engineer at Viable Solutions Pty Ltd, you will blend expertise across cloud platforms, software development, operational practices, continuous delivery strategies, data management, and security. This position emphasizes extensive experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) methodologies, ensuring you can design, implement, and maintain robust delivery pipelines that encompass code committing, building, testing, packaging, and deployment.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications and Skills

This role requires a minimum of 10 years' experience working with cloud and DevOps technologies, specifically with providers such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or Microsoft Azure.

• Advanced proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and Rancher container orchestration tools.
• Expertise in managing API Gateways and configuring Security Groups.
• Extensive experience with Jenkins for continuous integration.
• Hands-on knowledge of core AWS services including CloudFormation, EC2, S3, and Fargate.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and source control platforms like Bitbucket and GitHub Actions.
• Experience working across cloud environments including AWS, GCP, and Azure, applying CICD processes.
• Competent scripting skills in Python and Bash.
• Proven ability in handling messaging systems like IBM MQ and Kafka.
• Sound understanding of networking concepts.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Strong skills in managing time effectively, prioritizing tasks under pressure, and meeting deadlines.
• A proactive, self-driven approach with the ability to navigate ambiguity and independently find solutions.
