A prominent German federal technology organization located centrally in Berlin is seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer for a permanent role. This position involves working on a privately built and managed cloud platform, distinct from public cloud services.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing, building, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to ensure streamlined deployment processes
• Implementing application and user security protocols utilizing LDAP, SAML2, OIDC, and Keycloak
• Operating and maintaining database systems such as PostgreSQL and MariaDB
• Automating deployment processes through tools like Ansible, Terraform, Helm, Kustomize, and ArgoCD
• Managing deployment and operation of tools including GitLab, Artifactory, Vault, Argo Workflows, and Superset
• Handling on-premises secrets, password, repository, and source code management
• Collaborating with Quality Assurance teams on test automation strategies
• Assuming technical ownership of services on the Private Cloud Platform

Qualifications and Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or a Fachinformatiker qualification with equivalent hands-on experience
• Proficiency with Kubernetes manifests, Helm, and Kustomize
• Practical knowledge of configuration management and infrastructure as code using Ansible and Terraform
• Robust experience in CI/CD processes, especially Day 2 operations and maintenance
• Comfortable working in Linux operating environments
• Experience with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes and OpenShift
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies including Scrum or Kanban
• Fluent German language skills at C1 level or above, both written and spoken
