Overview
Jackson & Frank specializes in comprehensive HR solutions across Europe and the UK, managing employee onboarding and related processes internally to streamline client experiences. We are currently seeking experienced network engineers to support Shell's digital transformation strategy, focusing on establishing a versatile, secure, and user-centric IT connectivity environment.
Key Responsibilities and Skills
- Hold Cisco certifications, with a minimum of CCNP in routing and switching.
- Demonstrate thorough understanding of the OSI model and TCP/IP protocols including IP, ARP, ICMP, TCP, UDP, SMTP, FTP, and TFTP.
- Expertise in Layer-2 switching technologies, VLAN configurations, and access list management.
- Proficient in WiFi technologies, authentication protocols, security frameworks, Internet protocols, IPSec, SDWAN, MPLS, and VoIP systems.
- Strong knowledge of IPv4 addressing, subnetting, routing concepts, and IPv6 competency.
- Skilled in complete configuration and management of Cisco switches and routers including VLANs setup and monitoring.
- Extensive telecom industry experience including network operations, testing, and commissioning.
- Understanding of environmental and electrical safety standards pertinent to hazardous environments (IEC EX) affecting telecom system designs in process plants.
- Familiarity with upstream/downstream IT infrastructures and telecom solutions such as Process Control/SCADA and Safety Critical Elements.
- Experience applying project delivery methodologies managing IT and capital projects within the oil and gas sector.
- Ability to operate effectively within a matrixed, global, virtual organization.
- Strong negotiation capabilities and excellent verbal and written communication skills.

This role focuses on supporting a partial insourcing and multi-vendor ecosystem for connectivity services, aiming to enhance user experience, speed, and operational effectiveness.
