Senior Design Engineer – Electrical

Overview

This role requires a seasoned electrical engineer with at least a decade of expertise in Building Services or MEP engineering. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent and should bring extensive experience designing electrical systems across diverse project types, including hotels, high-rises, residential complexes, mixed-use developments, commercial spaces, retail locations, and industrial facilities. Experience working on projects in the Maldives is considered a plus.

Technical Expertise

• Strong skills in developing and designing electrical systems and components in line with project specifications and industry benchmarks.
• Competency in conducting design calculations, crafting conceptual designs, and preparing detailed electrical schematics and drawings.
• Proficiency in software such as MS Project, Revit, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of project planning, timelines, scheduling, and cost estimations.
• Knowledgeable of relevant industry standards, international codes, and compliance regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and advancing electrical systems and components to meet project and industry standards.
• Supporting various electrical services including HT, LT, ELV, and ICA through calculations, conceptualization, schematic preparation, and detailed drawings.
• Managing project conception, design stages, specifications, scheduling, cost estimations, and overseeing material procurement.
• Ensuring adherence to quality procedures, client needs, international standards, timelines, budgets, and organizational goals.
• Timely submission and review of documentation such as vendor approvals, project reports, and schedules.
• Monitoring and conducting quality assurance on ongoing and completed works.
• Coordinating technical aspects with clients, consultants, authorities, developers, and contractors.
• Collaborating with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal groups to guarantee proper implementation and delivery.
• Representing the company in client and stakeholder technical meetings, serving as a primary technical liaison.
• Working closely with procurement and suppliers for efficient sourcing and delivery of materials.
• Carrying out additional duties as delegated by supervisors.
