Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Design Engineer to join our Engineering team within the Manufacturing Business Unit. This fully remote role involves leading the end-to-end design of skid-mounted packages and process equipment, from initial concept through to Issued for Construction (IFC) documentation. The successful candidate will ensure designs are safe, practical to build, cost-efficient, and compliant with client specifications and international standards. The position reports directly to the Engineering Lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute conceptual, preliminary, and detailed engineering designs on active projects.
• Create 3D parametric models for skid packages and process equipment.
• Generate and prepare fabrication drawings for structures and piping, including General Arrangements, Shop Drawings, and As-Built documentation.
• Review structural, vessel/equipment, and piping drawings to ensure constructability and integrity.
• Conduct fundamental structural simulations for skid frames and lifting operations.
• Participate in milestone design reviews at 30%, 60%, 90%, and IFC stages and follow up on punch-list completion.
• Manage Design Change Notes (DCNs) and Technical Queries (TQs), supporting Design HAZOP and safety-in-design evaluations.
• Identify opportunities to minimize material consumption and reduce fabrication expenses.
• Lead and mentor junior design engineers and draftsmen.
• Serve as a technical liaison among clients, consultants, project managers, procurement, and production teams.

Candidate Profile

• A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• At least 8 years of design engineering experience within the oil and gas or energy industries.
• Solid expertise with skid-mounted packages, particularly chemical injection, metering, fuel gas conditioning, and static equipment systems.
• Hands-on proficiency of 8+ years with SolidWorks, Inventor, and CAD Works; AutoCAD experience is advantageous.
• Applied knowledge of ASME Section VIII Division 1, ASME B31.3, and ASME B16.5 codes.
• Familiarity with ADNOC regulatory specifications.
• Experience in leading or mentoring design teams.
• Excellent communication abilities coupled with a dedication to health, safety, environment (HSE), and quality standards.
