Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist (P5) who will independently convert complex and ambiguous challenges from marketing, product, and commercial teams into reliable models and experiments that support sound business decisions. This role will lead high-impact projects as the technical authority on data science systems, ensuring production reliability and methodological rigor.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, maintain, and own end-to-end data science systems ensuring their performance, reliability, and scalability in production environments.
• Develop and implement rigorous experimental frameworks across departments, ensuring standardized, repeatable, and scalable validations.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to clearly define business problems related to gamer engagement, marketing effectiveness, and regional strategies, shaping appropriate metrics and analyses.
• Lead the development and monitoring of statistical and AI models that optimize marketing budgets, foster product growth, and enhance player engagement.
• Create straightforward visualizations and clear narratives to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders up to executive levels.
• Partner with data and analytics colleagues to harmonize data sources, set standards, and share knowledge for compounded impact instead of duplicated efforts.
• Evaluate and select suitable modeling methods according to business contexts and iterate to improve solutions.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering.
• Between 3 and 5 years of professional experience in data science or machine learning, with proven success delivering business impact through complex modeling.
• Experience working with relational databases and SQL environments autonomously.
• Deep understanding of various modeling methodologies and ability to apply and refine them based on performance.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a history of engaging cross-functional teams and executive audiences.

Preferred Experience

• Previous work experience in game-related technology sectors, including FAANG or gaming companies.
• Familiarity with Bayesian statistical methods and causal inference, using tools like RStan, CausalImpact, or similar Python libraries.
