Senior Data Scientist

As a remote-first company, we encourage quarterly in-person collaboration sessions called "surges." Data Science is central to our product development and decision-making processes. On the Consumer team, you will enhance the customer journey across diverse Coinbase offerings like spot and advanced trading, yield, Coinbase One, global expansion, and innovative launches including prediction markets and equities trading.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough analyses and explore complex business challenges, generating insights and strategic recommendations that influence team decisions.
• Manage a wide range of data and metrics, from raw logs to sophisticated data visualizations.
• Lead technical code reviews, provide expert guidance in SQL and Python, and ensure the stability of ETL processes.
• Maintain high standards for statistical rigor, guaranteeing trustworthy experimentation and causal analysis results.

Qualifications and Skills

• A bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or Computer Science with over five years of relevant experience, or a doctorate with at least three years of experience.
• Demonstrated success in delivering impactful data science solutions within uncertain and evolving problem areas.
• Adept at transforming complex datasets into persuasive stories that influence key stakeholders.
• Practical experience applying advanced modeling techniques to solve business challenges.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and analysis.
• Familiarity with iterative digital product development cycles.
• Alignment with our core values including clear communication, positive energy, continuous learning, and effective execution.
• Comfortable and responsible use of generative AI tools like LibreChat, Gemini, and Glean, integrating human oversight to enhance quality and efficiency in workflows.

Compensation and Additional Information

The expected annual base salary for this role ranges from $181,545 to $191,100 SGD, excluding equity, bonuses, and benefits such as medical, dental, and vision coverage. Applicants are limited to submitting three applications within a six-month period.
