Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Cyber Architect for our Digital and Data divisions, based in Sydney or Melbourne. This full-time onsite role includes a hybrid work model with three days per week in the office. You will lead and innovate in security architecture across critical Digital, Data, and AI initiatives, embedding a secure-by-design philosophy throughout our projects and operations. Partnering with key stakeholders, you will help shape our cybersecurity standards to ensure resilience against evolving threats.
Key Responsibilities
- Advocate the adoption of NIST-based cybersecurity frameworks across Digital and Data teams, providing expert advice to solution architects, engineers, and developers.
- Collaborate with Enterprise Security Architects and Cyber Architects to design security domain and reference architectures within Digital, Data, and AI domains.
- Promote and embed secure-by-design principles throughout projects and business-as-usual activities.
- Work closely with Cyber engineering and operations teams to integrate core security services such as SIEM, KMS, and PAM aligned with business needs.
- Manage the security architecture governance process through Architecture Alignment Forums and Review Boards, ensuring quality and compliance.
- Contribute to the company’s cyber strategy by simplifying complex initiatives and evolving policies, particularly for Digital, application, and data security.
Candidate Profile
- Possess at least 10 years of experience in cybersecurity architecture and design, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior role managing large digital portfolios and engaging senior stakeholders.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related technical discipline.
- Demonstrate deep expertise in NIST Cybersecurity Framework and OWASP, with solid familiarity with the TOGAF framework.
- Skilled at conducting thorough cyber risk assessments, including control gap analyses across varied projects.
- Exhibit pragmatic, adaptable behavior, staying calm under pressure while showcasing strong business insight and effective stakeholder management skills.
- Preferably, have foundational knowledge or hands-on experience in AI security and familiarity with tools like Enterprise Agent Platforms (Vertex AI), Gemini, NHI, MCP, A2A, or similar technologies.
