About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a client for a Senior Corporate Accountant to join on a full-time basis remotely from anywhere. The position focuses on managing intricate financial reporting tasks, guaranteeing adherence to regulatory frameworks, and leading the month-end and year-end closing operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Compile and scrutinize monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in line with GAAP standards.
- Oversee the processes for month-end and year-end closing, including necessary reconciliations and corrections.
- Ensure compliance with tax regulations at federal, state, and local levels, along with timely filings.
- Evaluate financial information to detect trends, discrepancies, and areas for cost efficiency improvements.
- Work collaboratively across departments to assist in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning efforts.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related disciplines is mandatory; CPA certification or candidacy is advantageous.
- A minimum of five years progressive experience in accounting functions, with at least two years in a senior capacity.
- Experience using ERP systems combined with advanced Excel capabilities (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.).
- Strong familiarity with US GAAP and participation in financial audits.
- Excellent analytical skills, problem-solving aptitude, effective communication, and meticulous attention to detail.
