The Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Container Platform Specialist to architect, implement, manage, secure, and optimize container platform solutions that support modern application deployments and operations throughout various environments such as development, testing, staging, and production.

This role demands deep expertise in container runtimes, image management, orchestration systems, automation, networking, storage integration, security practices, monitoring, and troubleshooting production issues. The specialist will collaborate with multiple technical teams including Platform Engineering, DevOps, Software Development, Cloud Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Networks, Systems Administration, Databases, and Application Support to define container standards, enhance automation, improve security, and modernize infrastructure. Additionally, the role involves governance, documentation, and ensuring compliance with UAE regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and maintain container platforms across various environments ensuring scalability, security, availability, and operational effectiveness.
• Evaluate container platform technologies like Docker tooling, containerd, Podman, Kubernetes, and managed services to define standards and patterns for deployment.
• Administer platforms including configuration, monitoring, maintenance, upgrades, health checks, diagnostics, and troubleshooting runtime and host-level issues.
• Manage container runtimes such as containerd, CRI-O, Docker Engine; oversee lifecycle, security settings, compatibility validation, and upgrades.
• Implement lifecycle management for container images involving creation, validation, promotion, and retirement while enforcing tagging, versioning, security scanning, and vulnerability remediation.
• Maintain and manage private container registries, including security controls, capacity planning, replication, CI/CD integration, performance monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Support orchestration and workload management primarily using Kubernetes by configuring deployments, resource allocation, scaling, health checks, and release strategies with consistency across environments.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to validate configurations, isolate workloads, maintain operational standards, and document architecture, dependencies, and operational procedures.
