Senior Consultant - Data Governance (Strategy Execution & Value Realization)

Overview

Inbox Business Technologies seeks a seasoned Senior Consultant specializing in Data Governance to oversee and manage governance operations, performance reporting, and benefit tracking activities within the Data and AI vertical of a multi-sector Strategy Execution & Value Realization Office. This role ensures strategic initiatives' consistent tracking, reporting, and governance adhering to agreed standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage established governance processes, templates, and tools for the Data and AI vertical, aligning with the broader governance office framework.
• Conduct visibility analysis and dependency mapping of portfolio initiatives within the vertical, highlighting cross-vertical dependencies and escalating issues beyond the vertical’s jurisdiction.
• Monitor and maintain updates on stage gates, milestones, risks, issues, dependencies, budgets, quality, and change requests associated with strategic initiatives to reflect accurate delivery health status.
• Evaluate solution designs in line with Enterprise Architecture standards, prepare documentation for Architecture Review Board meetings, and keep architecture decision records current.
• Develop and sustain KPI cascades, executive dashboards, portfolio reports, and scorecards to facilitate prompt reporting to senior leadership at predefined intervals.
• Track and assess business value and outcomes against strategic and operational KPIs, provide support during post-implementation reviews, and validate actual value delivery prior to project closure.
• Create and update governance templates, playbooks, and support tools including administering KPI cascade tools on a daily basis.
• Assist in routine maturity assessments of governance and portfolio management capabilities and drive implementation of agreed-upon enhancements.

Professional Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Business, Engineering, or relevant field.
• At least 5 years of experience in data governance, portfolio/program governance, or consultancy related to these areas.
• Proven expertise in implementing governance operations and processes.
• Proficiency in building and maintaining KPI dashboards and portfolio reporting tools (e.g., Power BI).
• Knowledge of portfolio/program governance operations including change control and data governance fundamentals.
• Experience in supporting Enterprise Architecture compliance reviews.
• Strong skills in stakeholder engagement and maintaining structured documentation.
• Certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP - DAMA), Project Management Professional (PMP), Prince2, or BI platform certifications like Power BI Data Analyst are advantageous.
