Senior Cloud Infrastructure Software Engineer - Shannon (Hybrid)

Overview

Join us as we expand our team to deliver a groundbreaking High Performance Computing (HPC) cloud platform aimed at secure chip design software execution. Our Hybrid SaaS/PaaS solutions are designed to dynamically scale to meet the resource demands of full SaaS applications per incoming request.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with cloud providers such as Azure, AWS, and Google to analyze, understand, and contribute to their cloud infrastructure architectures tailored for Electronic Design Automation (EDA).
• Create and automate reference cloud architectures for both customer-managed environments and our internal managed cloud services.
• Enable multi-cloud orchestration through Siemens’ Platform as a Service (PaaS).
• Promote a culture focused on building secure, high-performance, and scalable cloud infrastructure and applications.
• Collaborate within an agile Scrum team to develop dynamically controlled infrastructure solutions for internal and external clients.
• Develop proof-of-concept projects to validate technical approaches and new methodologies.
• Conduct research into appropriate technologies needed to achieve company and client objectives.
• Work cross-functionally with different departments to understand and support their internal cloud infrastructure needs.
• Contribute to DevOps practices and tooling related to Cloud SaaS solution development.
• Perform benchmarking and performance testing of new cloud servers, architectures, and tools running company software.
• Take an active role in building the future of cloud HPC infrastructure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience designing and maintaining large-scale cloud platforms in production environments.
• Experience with hybrid on-premises and SaaS product models.
• Knowledge of cloud security best practices.
• Hands-on experience with container orchestration platforms.
• Expertise architecting multi-cloud solutions spanning public, private, and hybrid models across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
• Familiarity with Azure, AWS, and/or Google Integration Platform as a Service (IPaaS).
• Deep understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and related scripting technologies.
• Proficiency programming in Python and Golang for cloud infrastructure solutions.
• Experience in disaster recovery planning and multi-zone availability architectures.
• Relevant cloud certification credentials.
