Senior Cloud Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to architect, deploy, and manage cloud platforms with a focus on AWS and Azure environments. Utilizing automation and Infrastructure-as-Code, you will build highly scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure while integrating security at every stage.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement secure and scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure platforms.
• Automate cloud resource provisioning and management using tools like Terraform, Bicep, and CloudFormation.
• Collaborate closely with development and project teams to tailor cloud solutions to meet application, business, and security requirements.
• Create continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines embedding security controls from inception, adhering to DevSecOps principles.
• Monitor cloud systems for performance, availability, and security, and act promptly upon incidents and alerts.
• Periodically review cloud architecture to suggest enhancements addressing cost efficiency, performance optimization, and increased resilience.
• Formulate and maintain documentation covering architecture designs, standards, and best practices to aid engineering and operations teams.
• Offer expert technical advice and support on cloud-related queries and challenges.
• Stay updated on emerging trends in cloud computing and DevSecOps, contributing innovative ideas to the team.

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma, degree, or demonstrated equivalent experience in Computer Science, IT, or related disciplines.
• Minimum of 3 years practical experience working with AWS and/or Azure, particularly in architecture design and deployment.
• Proficient in Infrastructure-as-Code tools including Terraform, Bicep, and CloudFormation.
• Hands-on scripting capabilities in Python, Bash, and PowerShell for automation purposes.
• Excellent skills in debugging and troubleshooting within cloud environments.
• Comprehensive understanding of DevSecOps methodologies, practices, and tooling.
• Sound knowledge of cloud security frameworks, compliance requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Skilled at documenting architectures, policies, and reusable components clearly and concisely.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and presentation abilities.
