Role Overview

The Senior Cloud Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining robust, scalable cloud infrastructure to support stable system performance. Key tools involved include Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and Python for automating pipelines and ensuring efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively identify complex system challenges and design solutions to enhance scalability.
• Deploy, automate, maintain, troubleshoot, and continually optimize backend infrastructure systems.
• Maintain and enhance continuous integration services including build, test, and packaging pipelines.
• Support development teams in their continuous integration pipelines and associated tooling.
• Review code and work of peers and junior staff, promoting best practices within the team and broader community.
• Utilize agile methodologies such as Kanban and CI/CD frameworks including Jenkins, Git, and Artifactory.
• Build and manage production microservices architectures using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Lead cloud infrastructure design, implementation, and optimization initiatives.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to cloud engineering team members.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align cloud strategies with business goals.
• Architect scalable, highly available cloud environments while enforcing cloud security and compliance standards.
• Drive automation efforts to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• 4-5 years of professional experience in relevant roles.
• Solid hands-on experience deploying SaaS products on major cloud platforms including Azure and Google Cloud Platform beyond basic compute services.
• At least 4 years of programming experience in languages such as Python, Java, Go, or Bash.
• Proficient with configuration management and Infrastructure as Code tools, including Ansible and Terraform.
• Skilled in database management involving MongoDB, Elasticsearch, MySQL, ScyllaDB, Redis, Kafka, among others.
• Deep understanding of cloud-native environments, including Kubernetes orchestration, observability, and security operations.
• Strong system administration skills on Unix/Linux platforms.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization for the role’s location (no visa sponsorship available).
