Senior Client Executive - International Students

About the Role

Join Marsh's Employee Benefits team as a Senior Client Executive, specializing in the International Student insurance sector. This hybrid position is based in Auckland or Wellington, New Zealand, requiring presence in the office at least three days per week. You will oversee client portfolios, offering comprehensive management from relationship building and advisory services to claims advocacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the people risk adviser and subject matter expert for the International Student portfolio, maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.
• Provide full client management: relationship cultivation, customer service, advisory support, policy renewals, and claims advocacy for international students.
• Collaborate with business development teams to identify and develop revenue streams, consistently achieving retention and revenue goals.
• Conduct training sessions for large groups during client induction programs as needed.
• Manage complex claims by negotiating settlements and mediating between clients and insurers.
• Oversee administrative and technical processes including policy installation, data capture, pricing renewals, documentation, system records, and compliance with company and regulatory standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in travel or medical insurance, education sector, medicine, or life and health employee benefits, with robust product knowledge and a strong client-focus.
• Excellent written and oral communication, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize tasks collaboratively within a team.
• Commitment to complete required online training modules and comply with professional standards and company policies.

Preferred Attributes

• Level 5 Accreditation in Life & Health insurance or actively pursuing this qualification.
• Established client-facing experience and networks within the sector, demonstrating resilience, empathy, clear boundaries, and proficient stakeholder management.
• Comprehensive industry knowledge and practical expertise enabling immediate contribution.
