- Collaborate with site teams, procurement, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve issues and ensure project timelines.
- Maintain documentation including revised drawings, submission registers, and approval records.
- Prepare as-built drawings and handover documentation based upon verified site data and approved modifications.
Track A Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience in a civil technical office within a contracting or equivalent construction environment.
- Competency in preparing and reviewing shop drawings, reinforcement details, BBS, and quantity calculations personally.
- Strong knowledge of reinforced concrete construction techniques, detailing, materials, and coordination across disciplines.
- Advanced skills in AutoCAD and Excel.
- Ability to interpret structural designs, identify clarifications, or seek approvals as required.
Track B: Civil Site Execution Engineer Responsibilities
- Oversee setting-out, excavation, earthworks, replacement fill, backfilling, and compaction activities.
- Manage foundations, retaining walls, basements, tanks, and reinforced concrete structural works.
- Supervise formwork installation, reinforcement placement, embedded item integration, concrete pouring, curing, and repair works.
- Coordinate structural steel and precast element installation, if applicable.
- Manage masonry work and coordination with architectural finishes.
- Ensure proper application of waterproofing, protective layers, and waterstops.
- Handle external civil works including paving foundations, drainage systems, and utility integration.
- Plan daily site activities, organize workloads, and supervise foremen, subcontractors, and teams.
- Verify readiness including drawings, materials, manpower, equipment, and access at the site.
- Inspect setting-out, dimensions, levels, reinforcement, formwork, concrete covers, openings, embedded items, and compliance with method statements and inspection plans.
- Conduct material and workmanship inspections, initiate inspection requests, attend consultant inspections, and resolve observations and non-conformances.
- Coordinate testing for soil compaction, concrete, and waterproofing and follow up on results.
- Monitor concrete delivery, placement, curing, and any repair operations against approved specifications.
- Maintain communication with technical office, surveyors, architectural and MEP teams, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Track quantities, productivity, materials, and progress; produce short-term plans and status reports.
- Implement corrective actions to overcome obstacles while reducing waste and rework.
- Document approved changes and contribute data for as-built drawings and project handovers.
- Ensure adherence to site safety and occupational health policies; conduct safety briefings; monitor use of PPE, housekeeping, site access, and safe working practices.
- Identify operational hazards including excavation, formwork, lifting, working at heights, and equipment usage; halt unsafe activities and escalate as needed.
