Senior Cashier (Full Time)

Primary Duties

• Model exemplary GET behaviors while encouraging a positive environment among associates.
• Manage checkout efficiency, ensuring register lines remain short—no more than one customer being processed plus two waiting.
• Conduct daily walkthroughs from a customer perspective to verify store readiness, promotional displays, and marketing materials align with guidelines.
• Monitor team activities and staffing to meet store demands appropriately.
• Provide coaching, training, and motivation to front-end and lot associates to help them achieve goals or advance their roles.
• Communicate clear goals and priorities from store leadership to the front-end staff.
• Maintain a clean and navigable parking area.
• Coordinate backup cashiers and assign them to specific registers as needed.
• Operate cash handling equipment and train cashiers in its use.
• Collaborate with security personnel during cash collections.
• Adhere strictly to all safety and loss prevention protocols to secure store assets.

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

Additional Information

• Reports directly to the Department Supervisor.
• No travel is expected for this role.
• Minimum educational requirement is a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Preferred experience includes 1 to 2 years in retail or cashier roles and at least 1 year of leadership responsibility.
