About the Role
Join ShipBob as a Senior Business Development Representative (BDR) where you will help small to medium-sized businesses optimize their logistics by leveraging ShipBob's comprehensive fulfillment services. Based in Sydney with a hybrid work model requiring 2-3 days onsite per week, this role involves collaborating with Account Executives to explore and close opportunities with new merchants. Reporting to the Vice President and General Manager – Australia, the role emphasizes a culture of ownership, collaboration, and high performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities consistently every week.
- Build and maintain a pipeline by conducting a high volume of outbound calls, emails, and social media outreach.
- Represent ShipBob at industry trade shows and partner events.
- Assess merchant fulfillment processes to determine suitability for ShipBob's services and provide management with feedback on merchants outside typical client profiles.
- Coordinate and schedule product demos with potential merchants and Account Executives.
- Consistently meet daily targets for outbound merchant contacts and accurately document interactions using the tracking system.
- Work with team leaders to refine and improve prospecting strategies.
- Surpass monthly and yearly sales quotas.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Candidate Profile
- Minimum two years of experience in sales, preferably as a Business Development or Sales Development Representative.
- Proven ability to consistently meet or exceed quota targets.
- Experience in sales calls and engaging a variety of business types through cold outreach.
- Strong communication abilities.
- Background in logistics is advantageous.
- Demonstrates accountability and high diligence.
- Thrives in a goal-oriented environment with a strong drive for success.
- Resilient and persistent in the face of repeated rejections or delays from prospects.
- Analytical with skills in research and data interpretation.
