About Trust Payments

Trust Payments is a payment solutions provider regulated by the MFSA in Malta and the FCA in the UK. With a global footprint, we offer advanced technologies and data insights across sectors like retail, travel, hospitality, forex, and financial services. Our commitment extends beyond business to foster sustainability and ethical practices while maintaining a collaborative and diverse culture where every employee contributes to success.

Role Overview

The Senior Business Development Manager operates from our Bromley location, with flexible hybrid working options across the UK and Europe. The role primarily focuses on identifying new clients and partners—from startups to enterprise—in key sectors challenged by credit risk such as travel, tourism, leisure, ticketing, amusements, and e-commerce. You will drive profitable partnerships, using your network and outreach capabilities to deliver impactful business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively source potential merchants and partners, articulating the advantages of Trust Payments’ product suite.
  • Analyze merchant and partner challenges to propose tailored solutions with mutually beneficial commercial terms.
  • Negotiate and finalize commercial and contractual agreements, collaborating with line management and pricing specialists as required.
  • Provide onboarding support to new clients until their handover to Account Managers.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with introducers to expand their merchant portfolios.
  • Keep CRM systems current to enable reliable reporting, forecasting, and pipeline tracking.
  • Represent Trust Payments at industry events to enhance brand presence.
  • Engage in face-to-face meetings to facilitate meaningful discussions and resolve identified challenges collaboratively.

Candidate Requirements

  • Minimum two years’ experience in payments sales with skills in client needs analysis, solution recommendation, and business challenge resolution.
  • Confidence in engaging with senior-level stakeholders (C-suite).
  • Familiarity with e-commerce payment gateways and technical sales processes.
  • Demonstrated competency in consultative selling methods and strategic sector-specific sales.
  • Proven success in establishing new business aligned with defined Ideal Customer Profiles and target markets.
