Job description
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to manage comprehensive business analysis and ensure smooth follow-up of project delivery. You will act as a crucial liaison between business stakeholders and engineering teams, facilitating daily standups for assigned squads and conducting competitor and market evaluations whenever product features are enhanced or newly defined.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret business requirements into detailed, written user stories including acceptance criteria, edge cases, non-functional requirements, and success metrics.
- Diagram and analyze current versus future user journeys affecting customer workflows such as browsing, item creation, payment, moderation, and publishing across multiple product domains.
- Maintain an up-to-date, prioritized product backlog for each product area in collaboration with product management.
- Create precise functional specifications that provide clear instructions for designers and engineers to build without repetitive clarification.
- Host daily check-ins with engineering squads to review progress, impediments, and upcoming tasks.
- Monitor active tasks using Azure DevOps tools to detect and resolve stalled work items promptly.
- Provide leadership with a concise dashboard updating the status of progress across product areas readable within one minute.
- Promptly escalate blockers with relevant context to facilitate immediate resolution.
- Lead sprint retrospectives and document actionable items with assigned owners.
- Conduct thorough benchmarking whenever planning new features or enhancements by analyzing 3-5 competitor or inspiration products (regional and global), collecting screenshots, flow recordings, evaluating strengths and weaknesses, identifying opportunities missed, and delivering clear strategic recommendations.
- Periodically track competitors' pricing, monetization strategies, and feature releases.
- Integrate market insights into product decisions before writing user stories.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- At least 6 years experience as a Business Analyst or Product Business Analyst within software product companies, beyond IT services consulting.
- Exceptional written English skills, producing high-quality PRDs and specification documents representing the company.
- Advanced proficiency with Azure DevOps (work items, sprint boards, backlogs) or Jira as a power user.
- Comfortable and experienced with creating quick interactive prototypes, sandboxes, or proofs-of-concept using Replit, including familiarity with Replit Agent and AI capabilities.
- Able to interpret API specifications and database schemas to discuss data flows directly with engineering teams.
- Proven experience creating competitive benchmarking reports; must present 2-3 authored examples.
- Strong stakeholder management skills for interacting effectively with both technical and non-technical teams in sales, operations, and marketing.
Preferred Experience
- Background in classifieds, marketplaces, or multi-sided platform environments.
- Familiarity with the GCC regional market.
- Basic skills in SQL, Power BI, or dashboarding tools to independently extract and analyze data.
- Certification in Agile or Scrum methodologies.
- Experience with rapid prototyping tools like Bolt, Lovable, v0, or Cursor besides Replit.
