Opportunity Overview

This is a full-time, permanent role based in North Sydney, offering a dynamic, collaborative work environment with flexible arrangements including four days in the office.

We are recruiting experienced professionals to join our Business Analysis chapter as Senior Business Analysts reporting to the Principal Business Analyst. The successful candidates will assume end-to-end ownership of complex functional areas within business projects, from initial analysis to delivery support and validation.

Projects typically involve Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) covering multiple systems, platforms, and engineering teams. As a Senior BA, you will actively participate in technical design discussions alongside Architecture and Engineering teams, critically evaluating solutions and closely engaging throughout execution to ensure clarity under delivery pressure.

We are hiring up to two Senior BAs; both share core responsibilities, but one includes a specialization in Workflow and UX Analysis for internal systems, focusing on operational efficiency, user journey mapping, wireframing, screen logic, and mentoring team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full lifecycle of complex functional areas including analysis, design, delivery support, and outcome validation.
  • Create comprehensive functional specifications detailing business rules, logic, data requirements, edge scenarios, and acceptance criteria; review deliverables for alignment.
  • Coordinate across squads to identify dependencies, highlight cross-team impacts early, and resolve conflicts ensuring coherent BRDs.
  • Collaborate iteratively with Architecture and Engineering teams in solution designs and backlog refinement, balancing business needs with technical constraints.
  • Engage stakeholders including business sponsors, subject matter experts, and operational users through workshops to elicit requirements and control scope.
  • Contribute to the BA chapter by shaping best practices, coaching junior analysts, conducting peer reviews, and integrating AI tools into analytical workflows.

Candidate Profile

  • At least five years of experience in Business Analysis or related fields within complex, multi-system technology delivery environments.
  • Proven ability to comprehensively manage complex functional areas from analysis through to delivery validation.
  • Strong technical knowledge for crafting functional specifications, business rules, and acceptance criteria; adept at managing multi-squad dependencies and engaging in architectural discussions.
  • Effective facilitator capable of bridging business and technical teams, with hands-on experience utilizing AI tools for analysis and documentation.
  • Core qualities include comfort with complexity, technical engagement, dependency awareness, composure under delivery pressures, pragmatic thoroughness, and proficiency with AI-enhanced processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in media, ad-tech, or platform-based businesses.
  • Familiarity with quarterly or program delivery cadences.
  • Background in agile, multi-squad environments.
  • Exposure to agent-based AI tools.
  • Experience mentoring or coaching junior analysts.

Benefits

  • Modern office facilities with excellent amenities and convenient transport links.
  • Competitive salary accompanied by bonus prospects.
  • Opportunities for professional development and learning to foster career growth.
  • Comprehensive parental leave and mental wellbeing support, including access to an Employee Assistance Program through Sonder.
  • Regular social events, team gatherings, and formal recognition initiatives.
  • Wellness programs and discounts promoting healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Chance to collaborate with prominent brands on impactful and creative campaigns.
