Role Overview

The Senior Barista position is a full-time role based on-site in Mumbai. This role encompasses preparing and serving specialty and espresso-based coffees, managing daily café activities, and supporting the bakehouse team to maintain product excellence and uniformity. Responsibilities include greeting customers, taking orders, processing payments, delivering attentive service, and upholding a tidy, organized, and safe work environment. The Senior Barista will also train junior staff, oversee inventory and equipment maintenance, and ensure beverage preparation and presentation adhere to brand standards. Collaboration with roasting and baking units to innovate menu items and refine service protocols is crucial.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Proficient barista expertise covering espresso extraction, milk frothing, and specialty coffee drink preparation.
• Outstanding customer service and interpersonal abilities to cultivate a hospitable café atmosphere.
• Effective communication skills for engaging with guests and coordinating team efforts.
• Experience in food preparation or café/kitchen operations with a strong understanding of hygiene and safety practices.
• Preferred prior experience in a specialty coffee environment in a senior or lead barista role.
• Willingness to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Strong organizational skills with dependability in managing cash, stock, and operational checklists.
