Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the partner products team within our Hotels Product Engineering division. This role focuses on building, enhancing, and maintaining scalable web platforms that facilitate strong connections between travelers (over 400 million monthly visitors) and leading travel brands, ranging from large OTAs to boutique hotel chains.

The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive web platform expertise, particularly in API integrations and associated web technologies. Experience in developing scalable solutions efficiently, including leveraging AI tools, and a drive for producing clean, high-quality code promptly are essential.

Location and Work Arrangement

This role offers a flexible hybrid or remote working model, with the office located in Dublin for those opting for hybrid arrangements.

Key Responsibilities

• Create uncomplicated solutions for complex product challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including technical and business stakeholders to manage complex projects and deliver timely, quality code.
• Investigate, analyze, and debug intricate web-based features and product issues.
• Contribute to team efficiency by developing automation tools.
• Enhance and maintain system documentation to support customers interfacing with our products.
• Participate in rotating on-call duties for network and product support.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for debugging complex systems.
• At least five years of programming experience.
• Strong proficiency working within Linux environments and related utilities.
• Capability to build complex SQL queries.
• Deep understanding of HTTP and other Internet protocols.
• Advanced knowledge and experience in Java programming.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to articulate complex ideas clearly.
