Role Overview

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Python backend development to advance AI and machine learning (ML) integrated backend systems within our AI-driven SaaS platforms. This role involves engaging with cross-disciplinary teams to solve complex data challenges, prioritizing backend programming with active participation in integrating and optimizing AI/ML functionalities.

Key Duties

• Design, develop, and refine backend services primarily using Python, with an emphasis on microservices and data-focused applications.
• Collaborate intimately with data scientists to embed AI and ML models into backend architectures, ensuring optimal application performance.
• Implement containerization strategies and manage orchestration through Docker and Kubernetes.
• Oversee and optimize both relational (PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) database systems for reliable scalability.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code practices via tools like Terraform and Helm to orchestrate cloud environments.
• Manage cloud deployments and application lifecycle on platforms such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Microsoft Azure, including continuous integration and delivery processes.
• Work collaboratively with DevOps, Data Scientists, and Data Engineers to develop scalable AI solutions.
• Contribute actively to backend and frontend architecture and overall software design.

Qualifications

• Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Bring 3 to 6 years of experience in software engineering with a core strength in Python backend development.
• Demonstrate proficiency in Python and frameworks such as Flask; familiarity with ReactJS front-end development is advantageous.
• Have extensive experience deploying microservices in cloud environments including GCP and AWS.
• Skillful with Docker, Kubernetes, and continuous integration tools like GitLab, including writing effective unit tests.
• Experience with database systems, both PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
• Capable of mentoring and leading engineering teams.
