The Senior Authority Engineer serves as the key communication conduit between project teams and local authority bodies, managing the submission and approval processes for NOCs and building permits in line with UAE regulations. This role demands coordination across technical, planning, and infrastructure departments while ensuring regulatory compliance throughout project lifecycle stages.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and implement procedures for submitting and securing NOC approvals.
• Maintain regular liaison with local authority departments to manage building permits and NOCs.
• Create and update a detailed database monitoring the status of all NOCs and project approvals.
• Participate in meetings, site inspections, and discussions with clients and authorities as necessary.
• Verify that all design documentation adheres to UAE codes and local regulatory mandates.
• Disseminate updates regarding changes in standards, regulations, and technical prerequisites.
• Resolve technical queries and respond to authority feedback efficiently.
• Serve as the main contact point linking the company, clients, and regulatory bodies.
• Offer technical guidance to project teams reflecting authority criteria.
• Organize training sessions and seminars to enhance awareness of regulatory standards among stakeholders.
• Compile comprehensive reports detailing project approval progress, requirements, and procedural updates.
• Monitor timelines of project approvals, escalating issues related to delays appropriately.
• Assist NOC Managers by preparing briefs and approval approach documentation.
• Identify and promote improvements in the approval and compliance processes.
• Establish and uphold submission and approval standards to streamline authority interactions.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline is required.
• Competency in software including AutoCAD, Revit, 3D modelling tools, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office suite.
• Comprehensive understanding of UAE building codes, regulations, and NOC procedures.
• At least 5 years of pertinent experience in authority liaison, preferably within the UAE context.
• Proven capabilities in planning approvals, infrastructure projects, and stakeholder coordination.
• Experience preparing detailed reports and managing complex approval workflows.
