Senior Auditor

About the Role

AVENTROSS PAC, located at City Hall / High Street Centre in Singapore, is seeking a skilled Senior Auditor with a minimum of three years' external audit experience at a public accounting or audit firm. The ideal candidate will independently manage audit engagements from planning through to their completion, guiding junior staff and engaging directly with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently oversee audit engagements from initial planning, fieldwork phases, to final completion.
• Conduct and review audit activities in strict compliance with Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSA).
• Prepare and assess audit documentation and financial statements.
• Implement risk-based audit procedures and identify critical audit matters.
• Communicate directly with clients concerning audit, accounting, and financial reporting issues.
• Review junior team members' audit work and provide coaching to support their development.
• Ensure audit assignments progress efficiently and meet deadlines.
• Assist Audit Managers and Partners in resolving complex audit and accounting challenges.
• Manage several audit engagements simultaneously.

Candidate Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Accountancy; ACCA or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
• At least three years’ experience in external auditing within a public accounting firm.
• Sound understanding of the Singapore Standards on Auditing (SSA) and Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS).
• Capability to independently lead and complete audit assignments.
• Experience preparing and reviewing financial statements and audit working papers.
• Supervisory skills to guide and evaluate junior auditors’ work.
• Strong client communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Organized, responsible, and able to adhere to deadlines.
• Previous audit experience within Singapore is considered advantageous.
