Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Auditor to join our Audit team based in Sunshine Coast, Queensland. BDO's Audit practice is a leading contributor in the region, auditing a wide range of Australia's premier public and private entities across multiple industries. This role delivers exposure to diverse clients and challenging audit work within a high-performing team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct audits for sizeable proprietary and publicly listed companies across varied sectors.
• Independently complete the planning elements of audit engagements.
• Collaborate with teams to create financial audit strategies and methodologies tailored to client needs.
• Work alongside managers to assess engagement risks and budget considerations.
• Directly coordinate engagements without managerial assistance, reporting straight to Partners as necessary.
• Maintain awareness of different reporting and regulatory frameworks applicable to audits.
• Analyze and document internal controls and overall control environments.
• Draft management letters and final completion reports.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to junior auditors while fostering internal team relationships.
• Engage with clients to identify future business opportunities.

Candidate Profile

• Experience in external auditing within a professional services setting.
• Hold or be progressing towards CA or CPA accreditation.
• Strong eye for detail and accuracy.
• Experience reviewing general purpose financial statements, including those of listed companies.
• Ability to define audit scope and efficiently resolve issues.
• Must have full and unrestricted work rights in Australia.

The position offers a competitive salary starting from AUD 85,000 inclusive of superannuation, reflecting experience level.
