About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Auditor to join our audit team located in Sunshine Coast. BDO's Audit division is a significant presence in the local market, servicing a broad spectrum of prominent public and private Australian companies spanning various industries. You will engage in challenging assignments within a high-performing team, dealing with a diverse client portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out audits for large private and publicly listed companies of different sizes and sectors.
• Independently handle the planning components of audit documentation.
• Collaborate with teams to develop audit strategies and methodologies tailored to clients' financial audits.
• Work in partnership with engagement managers to identify potential risks or budget concerns.
• Manage engagements autonomously, escalating to partners when necessary.
• Maintain awareness of various reporting and regulatory standards across different frameworks.
• Analyze and document internal control systems and environments.
• Prepare draft management letters and completion reports.
• Mentor junior team members and foster strong internal relationships.
• Interface with clients to uncover future business opportunities.

About You

• Previous experience in external audits within a professional firm.
• Possession or pursuit of CA/CPA qualifications.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to scrutinize financial information thoroughly.
• Experience reviewing General Purpose financial statements, including those of publicly listed companies.
• Capacity to recognize audit scope and resolve issues effectively.
• Full and unrestricted legal working rights in Australia.
