Senior Auditor

About the Role

JAR Accounting and Auditing is seeking an experienced Senior Auditor to be based in Doha, Qatar. The ideal candidate will bring at least 15 years of experience in accounting and external audit, possess a professional accounting qualification, and have expertise in international financial standards and audit practices.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, supervision, and completion of external audit engagements
• Review audit working papers and verify financial statements for accuracy
• Detect issues in financial reporting and internal controls and advise accordingly
• Lead and manage audit teams, ensuring adherence to schedules and efficient client communication
• Maintain strict compliance with international auditing standards and relevant regulations
• Deliver comprehensive audit findings and strategic recommendations to management and partners

Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years' professional experience in accounting and external audit roles
• Accredited professional certification such as ACCA, CPA, CA, or equivalent
• In-depth knowledge of IFRS and International Standards on Auditing
• Proven experience managing full-cycle audit engagements
• Strong financial reporting, analytical capabilities, and leadership skills
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle client relations effectively
• Prior experience working within audit or accounting firms is mandatory
• Preference given to candidates currently residing in Qatar
