Overview
Join Westpac Institutional and Business as a Senior Associate or Associate Director in the Financial Markets team, focusing on facilitating foreign exchange (FX) solutions for business clients in the wholesale sector. This role is centered around building long-term trusted relationships and providing expert guidance on FX products, managing currency risks, and identifying market opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Working with a portfolio of wholesale classified clients, you will collaborate closely with customers, bankers, and internal teams to craft customized FX solutions aligned with client objectives. A large part of the role involves identifying avenues to expand current relationships, supporting new business acquisition, and enhancing clients' understanding and management of foreign currency exposure. Additionally, you will share insights within the Relationship FX team to boost collective expertise and contribute to delivering excellent customer outcomes.
Candidate Profile
The successful candidate will demonstrate strong relationship management skills and a solid interest in guiding customers through the complexities of foreign exchange markets and risk management strategies. Essential qualifications include tertiary education and relevant AFMA accreditation (or the ability to obtain and maintain it). The candidate should have a robust grasp of risk, compliance, and customer obligations in a Financial Markets or Business Banking context.
Additional Details & Working Conditions
This position is based in Melbourne and predominantly office-based due to the collaborative nature of the role. Face-to-face meetings with customers are expected as necessary. The employer emphasizes flexibility where possible to accommodate individual circumstances.
