Key Responsibilities
- Manage and organize tasks to satisfy client engagement objectives, ensuring compliance with monthly and quarterly reporting timelines.
- Provide assistance during year-end audits and additional client-specific requests.
- Collaborate within a team to deliver accurate cash management, financial reporting, and statutory data monthly, quarterly, and annually to clients and auditors.
- Ensure timeliness and accuracy in submitting corporation tax, VAT, and Central Bank returns.
- Coordinate with payroll to process payroll and generate necessary reports, ensuring adherence to tax submission deadlines.
- Take accountability for allocated duties with a focus on efficiency and quality.
- Introduce enhancements to accounting processes to increase robustness and control.
- Work synergistically with Waystone colleagues to foster communication and solution development.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Follow internal protocols to uphold professional standards, complete mandatory learning, and suggest service improvements.
- Support ad-hoc projects and assignments as directed by the Associate Director.
- Report any arising issues promptly.
- Prepare and review board meeting documents and actively participate in board meetings.
- Contribute to team objectives, including training and supervising junior staff members.
Qualifications and Experience
- A university degree, ideally in Finance or Accountancy.
- Professional accreditation such as ACA, ACCA, or equivalent.
- Open-mindedness towards diverse perspectives, cultures, and methodologies.
- Strong communication skills and proven capability in building relationships.
- Experience or familiarity with account preparation and financial reporting is a plus.
- Ability to thrive under pressure with excellent time management, organization, communication, critical analysis, and attention to detail.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Demonstrates trustworthiness and respects confidentiality requirements.
- Quick adaptability and efficient work style in a dynamic environment.
- Solid technical knowledge in accounting, taxation, and financial reporting.
- Desirable experience with accounting software such as SAGE and SAP.
