Their areas of focus include Corporate and Commercial Law, Litigation and Dispute Resolution, Employment, Real Estate and Construction, Banking and Finance, among others.

Role Overview

The Senior Associate (Bilingual) position is a full-time role based in Doha that requires hands-on management of intricate client cases, preparation, and analysis of legal documents and contracts, together with rendering legal opinions and consultancy across the firm's primary fields. This role involves court and tribunal representation, facilitation of dispute resolution and negotiations, as well as oversight and mentorship of junior legal personnel in research and case preparation.

Effective dual-language communication (Arabic and English) with clients and external partners, involvement in business growth initiatives, and contributing to internal training and knowledge sharing are core components of this position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee complex client matters and legal case management.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of legal documents including contracts, pleadings, memoranda, and advisory opinions in Arabic and English.
  • Provide clear, pragmatic legal advice and manage client relationships effectively.
  • Represent clients in courts and tribunals, coordinate case strategy including evidence and witness preparation, and manage procedural requirements.
  • Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and legal staff in research, drafting, and case management activities.
  • Engage in business development efforts and support firm-wide knowledge dissemination and training.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of Qatari law with practical experience in at least two practice areas such as Corporate and Commercial Law, Litigation, Employment, Real Estate, or Banking and Finance.
  • Expertise in drafting, negotiating, and reviewing diverse legal documents in both Arabic and English.
  • Strong client advisory capabilities, with the skill to communicate complex legal concepts in understandable terms and recommend practical solutions.
  • Proven experience in court representation and legal case strategy, including procedural oversight.
  • Bilingual fluency in Arabic and English with excellent written and spoken communication skills.
  • Possession of a law degree (LLB or equivalent) from a recognized institution; admission to practice law in Qatar or another respected jurisdiction is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of five years of post-qualification legal experience, preferably within a law firm or corporate legal department, with demonstrated progressive responsibilities.
  • Ability to mentor junior team members and collaborate efficiently in team settings while managing multiple deadlines.
  • Commitment to high professional ethics, meticulous attention to detail, and strong analytical problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with international legal best practices or cross-border transactional matters is an added advantage.
